Patronal Feast of St. Peter Claver

From September 1st to September 6th, our Toronto community had the joy and privilege of
welcoming our Mother General, Mother Selin, accompanied by her Counselor, Sr. Jacinta. They came from Rome for the Canonical Visitation, a treasured part of our Constitutions, through which the Superior General visits each community around the world every three years.
During this blessed time, we were also able to celebrate our Patronal Feast of St. Peter Claver on September 5th, together with our benefactors and friends from across the Archdiocese of Toronto.
We are deeply grateful for the support, friendship, and encouragement you offer to our missionary work. Together, we share in the joy of serving Christ and His universal Church.
Below is the message from Mother Selin addressed to our dear friends and benefactors who joined us for this celebration. Her presence was a true gift to our community, and we remain thankful for her leadership, her witness, and her missionary spirit.
Your Excellency, dear Bishop Ivan, Fr. Josh, dear Friends and Benefactors, dear Sisters,
It is a great joy for us to be with you today as we celebrate the feast of St Peter Claver, the Patron of our Congregation. Our visit to this community has given us the opportunity to meet you personally and to share this special occasion with you.
Bishop Ivan, thank you very much for being with us and for presiding over this Eucharistic celebration. We appreciate your presence and your closeness to our Sisters.
To all of you, our dear friends and benefactors, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude. Your generosity and support are a great encouragement to our Sisters. In so many ways, you stand beside them and help them to continue their mission. We are truly grateful to have you as part of our Claverian family.
As we celebrate St Peter Claver today, we are reminded once again of his generous life of service and his deep love for those who were suffering and in need. His example continues to inspire us to recognize Christ in others and to express our love through simple and concrete acts of kindness and service.
In many ways, we experience that same spirit here among you. Through your friendship and the many ways you accompany our Sisters, you too share in their mission and in the good they are called to do. For this, we are grateful.
I would also like to thank our Sisters for organising this lovely celebration and for bringing us all together today. It is a blessing to celebrate the feast of our Patron here in our convent, surrounded by friends whose presence and support have enriched the journey of our Sisters over the years.
On behalf of our Congregation, I thank each one of you for being part of our life and mission. Please know that you and your families have a special place in our prayers.
May the Lord bless you for all the good you do, and may St Peter Claver accompany you and intercede for you and your families.
Bishop Ivan, before we conclude, we would like to offer you a small gift as a sign of our gratitude for your presence today and for your support of our Sisters. I now invite Sr. Jacinta, our General Councillor, who is accompanying me on this visitation, to present it to you.
Thank you all for being here and for making this feast such a joyful and meaningful celebration.
I wish you all a very happy feast of St Peter Claver.
May God bless you all.
Mother Selin Karikatill, Superior General

It's heartwarming to see the deep gratitude for the benefactors and friends who truly share in the missionary spirit. This sense of shared purpose and support is what builds strong communities, far more enriching than just spending time on unblocked games 66. May this spirit continue to flourish! 😊
